Junior Windshield

Postby africantiger » Mon Jul 13, 2015 6:30 am

We re bout to finish 4 year restoration on Junior 575 and have a problem with the windscreen, which came new recently from Riva. It has a big gap between it and the deck, any suggestions? Picture attached
Can anyone suggest how to fit the rubber trimming around the nav lights section of the windshield, as we tried and got not get the rubber to fit nicely and it broke eventually.
Thanks

Here is a trick!!!

Place a small rope on the bottom of the glass inside the rubber and this will help push the rubber to the deck.

This works if your gap is not too big.

You understand what I am describing?

The windshield is bolted down, do I have to lift it up and remove rubber or just try squeeze the rope in from the top side of the rubber from windshield ?. Because notices windshield is plastic and maybe put some weight on it? its factory supplied windshield .
Thanks

Sorry for delay;

You can slide the rope into the rubber seal and under the glass with the windshield on the boat.
