Exhaustpipes

Hi together,

could someone help me with mounting the exhaust trough hull at the rear side of the boat?
My problem is, how the exhaust is protected from water coming to the inside. I meen if there is any Rubber Silicon or something else betwenn Exhaust Pipe and Wood?

I have always used a rubber compound at the pipe coming through the transom. Use something like BoatLife Caulk.

Also there should be a small radius in the wood around the pipe so you can have a bead of caulk.
